USPS shipping and dry ice

On the 'shipping' page it talks about how the person who took the photos shared there prefers to use USPS priority for shipping, and the description uses dry ice for cooling.

The USPS says that dry ice is a hazardous material, and isn't permitted to be shipped via USPS.

Does anyone have experience with this?

USPS priority is so much less expensive than FedEx or UPS....

never mind.... foun

I spoke with a tobacco seller in Michigan and was told they cannot ship tobacco via USPS. Have anybody else heard of this.
For about the last year or so I have noticed a severe drop in the quality of the USPS service. It used to be that if I ordered something from Pipesandcigars or Cup O' Joes (both in upstate New York) on a Monday, it would arrive by Wednesday without fail.
I wanted to tell everyone about this shipping container I found when researching options for my donor to send milk. It's insulated, no styrofoam, so it takes up much less space and keeps the milk frozen with 5# of dry ice per 24 hours of shipment.
