Hello Forum,
The Torode family is one of Guernsey's oldest. They have lived on the Island for over a thousand years. Here are some interesting Torode facts.
There were members of the Torode family amonst William the Conquerors army when it invaded England and met King Harold at the Battle of Hastings in the year 1066.
The old Norse spelling of the name appears on the Bayeux Tapestry which celebrates Williams victor
